How to use BasedBot
A practical setup walkthrough for both BasedBot surfaces — the Telegram bot and the web terminal — written by an independent guide, not by BasedBot. Everything below happens on the official product; nothing is entered on this site.
1. Decide where you will trade
BasedBot has two main entry points: a Telegram bot and a browser terminal at basedbot.app. According to BasedBot's login documentation, a Telegram-created account and a wallet-connected web account are not automatically the same account, and referral settings do not transfer between them. Pick the surface you intend to keep using before creating anything.
2. Open BasedBot
For Telegram, open the bot link and press Start. For the web terminal, open basedbot.app and sign in the way the site offers. If you want a referral attached, open through a referral link first — details on our referral page.
3. Set up your wallet
The bot can generate a self-custody wallet for you. Back up the private key or seed offline. Never paste a key into a chat, a website or a support message — including this one. We never ask for keys and never handle funds.
4. Fund the chain you want to trade
Deposit or bridge the native token of the network you plan to use (ETH on Base or Ethereum, SOL on Solana, BNB on BSC, and so on). You need native balance for gas even when buying another token.
5. Configure presets before your first buy
Set buy amounts, slippage tolerance and priority fee. Slippage is a tolerance, not a fee that is always charged, but wide slippage on thin liquidity can cost far more than the 1% platform fee.
6. Trade, then review costs and rewards
Place a small first trade and check what actually landed. Cashback accrues on platform fees; accrual and claiming are separate, and the rules differ between the bot and the web rewards screens.
Common problems
- Transaction fails repeatedly: usually not enough native token for gas, or slippage set too tight for a volatile pair.
- Wrong chain: check which network is selected before pasting a token address; the same address format exists on many EVM chains.
- Rewards not withdrawable yet: accrued is not the same as claimed. Check the rewards screen for the surface you use.
- Referral missing: attribution rules are set by BasedBot and we cannot verify individual accounts — ask BasedBot support.
